The first 7 Presidents of the USA were born as British citizens.*
The 8th, Martin Van Buren, was born to a family of Dutch descent and spoke Dutch as his primary language.
The 9th, William Harrison, was also born a British citizen (b. 1773).
The 10th, John Tyler, was elected Vice President but did not win election as President after succeeding Harrison.
The 1st elected President born an American citizen and who spoke English as his primary language was James Polk, #11!
James Polk, however, was not baptized (his father was a deist).
He later became a Freemason (like Washington, FDR & probably Jefferson).
Historians rank him, in aggregate, as the 10th greatest President.
